Tai Robinson Responds to MagneGas Article
President of Intergalactic Hydrogen responds to allegations that a
hydrogen economy would be detrimental to breathable oxygen levels on the
planet. Encourages cooperation among alt energy scientists, rather than
confrontation.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, USA; August 29, 2006 -- Magna gas is just another
term for syn gas, or bio gas, or renewable methane, producer gas, towns gas.
Nothing new I can see until I get a few different tank fulls of different
blends to burn in my truck for testing. This is not the
answer as wild emissions could be made form a person or
company with no real-world experience making cleaner fuels. I would
be interested to test the power characteristics of magnagas and meet Dr.
Rugerro Santilli. Maybe he would like to compare the well to wheels emissions
of his MagnaGas Ferrari to my Dad's Hydrogen H2H2 HUMMER? Lets set up a show
down! However, I know solar H2 will beat magnagas.
Another myth of depleting oxygen due to hydrogen vehicles is
that O2 is liberated along with carbon when you reform H2 from CH4. It is
amazing the wacky ideas people come up with as resistance to change..... The
idea of killing people off the planet in 5-7 years from utilizing
hydrogen fuel is ridiculous. Only some of the H2 comes from the methane
in the steam reformation process. You also get a lot of O2 liberated from the
steam which balances out the O2 that is later recombined by either chemically
combining or combusting H2!!!! Loss of O2 because of H2 is about the worst
myth ever propagated. I am glad to have a good quote in your article, but
saddened to have this quack pot theory from an individual that
supports the use of petroleum oil...... Of course, to him it
must be justifiable if the ends were magnagas? Not so, petroleum is much
more valuable if we use it for durable goods instead of burning it. While our
hydrogen must be solar derived which is the most economical way to produce H2
in many regions of the world through renewable energy.
More O2 can result out of the tailpipe of pure hydrogen powered ICE's than O2
in the ambient air of metropolitan areas. MagnaGas from fossil sources would
create emissions, while burning H2 can produce negative emissions. Yes CO in
the hydrogen combustion chamber gets an oxygen atom added in the process, but
no CO is formed and NOx emissions from an H2ICE vehicle can be fractions of
the NOx produced from petrol combustion engines, therefore keeping the balance
of oxygen, not depleting it as Santilli falsely accuses. Therefore,
burning H2 is far better than burning any longer-string, or supposed
magnetically attracted fuels. Burning hydrogen will make a healthier
environment for us to live in.
Some of what Santilli is saying is interesting, but very unfortunate he resort
to false accusations against H2. Especially since his gas can
be composed of it!!!!! What is he trying to say? His assertions only
strengthen the division among the cleaner, safer, local fuels that are
available for less expense than petrol based fuels today. All of the petroleum
displacing fuels need to unite for us to declare victory in the clean fuel
revolution. Maybe magnagas can play a role in offering energy independence.
However, it better play cleanly if it wants to last. Any gaseous fuels that
can lead to the proliferation of more pure hydrogen stations can be commended.
Hanging on to the crutch of liquid, long-chain fuels any longer has
outlived its usefulness. Time to move on to cleaner, safer, less expensive
fuels. Methane is paving the highway to hydrogen today. Biogas, syngas and
maybe even magnagas can also lead us to the cleanest, safest, most abundant
fuel, H2.
The claimed addition of hydrogen to gasoline or diesel is again, nothing new!
How do you think they get low sulphur diesel? How do you think they sweeten up
heavy, sour crude oil? You got it, from our friend hydrogen. "Hy-gasoline"
sounds like a desperate stab at claiming something new that people have just
forgotten because they were really created long ago. Did you know the first
internal combustion engine automobile on the planet used H2 for fuel, in 1809?
The diseases humans have inflicted upon the land can be seen as they are
replicated as the diseases within ourselves and loved ones. As we dirty the
earths air, our lungs get infections. As we poison our waters our blood gets
diseased. Factory farms that produce fear ridden and anything but Whole Foods
can not continue for us to live healthy and harmoniously with this, and on
this planet. I agree that continued support of repugnant framing practices
must be eliminated. The resulting profits of turning unhealthy amounts of
waste from an out of balance industry is as morally unacceptable as factory
farming itself. If you want to be healthy and happy, treat all living things
that way, including the planet. Why do people have an aversion to utilizing
human waste? I guess if it is known that our humane waste actually has
value maybe the people will be herded up! Oh wait, many people already are.
I am glad you got to interview Dr. Roy McAlister. He definitely responded in a
responsible manner and shed light on the subject. I would have to back
the creation of projects demonstrating and utilizing the hydrogen from
"Biased Anaerobic Digestion." It is time enough to leave our liquid
fuel past behind us. Embracing the gaseous fuel future now answers many of the
worlds problems while creating wealth for our economy. Oh yeah, we get
cleaner air while living happier, healthier, prosperous lives at the same time
building a viable industry and contributing to our healthy economy. Those darn
side effects of logical ecolonomic development.....
