Capital for Energy Inventors from U.S. Dept. of AgricultureWith Aug. 30 deadline, it's probably too late to register now for a piece of the $22 million pot, considering the complexity of the application; but perhaps another round may come, with more time to prepare. Letter to the Editor

Sterling,
I found an obscure "renewable energy"
program inside the Department of Agriculture of all places. If the
inventor is located in a rural community, he may qualify for the money to
install his product. The most important links are on my current top story in
my "Government Actions" column. Somebody will get the $22
million. It would be nice if some of our guys get in on it. http://www.commutefaster.com/Energy.html
Talking to a bureaucrat this morning, he pointed
out that even though it is unlikely anyone can get the paperwork processed in
time (Aug. 30) that this is an ongoing program and will likely be re-funded by
congress for the October new fiscal year. The same terms will apply then
too.

obtained. It would take all the rest of the summer for an applicant even to understand this complicated document, never mind write a detailed application in the middle of growing season, if they even have time to think about it. See also
